The Trust was established in 1984 as a charitable trust. It is a non-profit making educational charity, registered with the Charities Commission and its aims are to support individuals and organisations in the development of sport for young people (u21). To date the Trust has supported a wide range of projects from contributions towards development/improvement of facilities, contributions for equipment for newly established clubs, bursaries for attendees on relevant courses and contributions towards the relocation costs of England players for their education and netball training. Due to its expenditure on deserving projects and the decrease in income, the Trust currently does not have the resources to continue as an effective provider of financial support for the development of sport for young people. The Trust has therefore been looking at alternative sources of funding, one of which is fundraising- the objective would be to generate a minimum of £10,000 per annum (net of costs etc). If you have fundraising expertise and are interested in fundraising for the Youth Trust please contact the Trust on aenayouthtrust@btinternet.com by 30th April 2014. The administration of the National Schools Event has been reviewed and England Netball have now released new regulations for the National Schools Competition which relates to all levels from local through to county; regional and up to the national event. The format of the regulations has changed to provide a clearer overview of the competition structure as well as an amended section regarding complaints and appeals. These regulations need to be implemented throughout all county and regional rounds (and sections 4, 7 and 8 for area rounds – see section 2.2 in the regulations). Please note; this is part of an initial review of the National Schools regulations and further changes may be made during the second stage of review prior to the 2014/15 season when they will come into effect. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with the regulations and share with anyone involved in the competition. You can find the new regulations here. |
