Workplace Challenge Boston 2016
Monday 7th November saw the inaugural Boston Workplace Challenge Netball Festival take place at the Peter Pain Sports Centre in Boston. Ten mixed teams of staff from local businesses and Schools braved the cold to play four matches against each other.
The event, organised by Lincolnshire Sport in partnership with England Netball, is part of Workplace Challenge initiative to help workplaces get more active. The Netball event was part of the Workplace Challenge monthly competition programme which is designed to build team spirit, promote health and fitness as well as re-introducing people to sports they may not have played since school. The event was supported by umpire volunteers from Lincolnshire Netball Clubs,
Louise Key, Netball Development Officer at England Netball, said: “It was great to see so many men and women playing and enjoying a sport many hadn’t played since school. The laughter that echoed around the courts and camaraderie shows the benefits netball has not only physically but socially. Well done to all the teams and I look forward to next years event being even bigger”
