Lincoln made a number of unforced errors during the second quarter, allowing Northants JMs to draw the quarter 10-10. However, this still meant the Imps were ahead 25-19 at half time.

Megan Samways came on for the third quarter. She made numerous tips in the centre court which broke down JMs’ play and allowed Imps’ defenders to overturn possession. Meanwhile, Lincoln’s Anna Gilbert, Megan and Beth Richardson produced some excellent feeds into Becky in attack. JMs produced a strong performance during the quarter as well, drawing in Imps’ quarter-lead to just a single goal. However, Lincoln did not lose their nerve and managed to take the quarter by four goals, leaving the score 40-30.
The final quarter exemplified Lincoln City’s solidarity. The team overturned the ball on numerous occasions throughout the court and the defensive formation worked well against a tall JMs GS. The final score ended 56-35 – a much needed win for the Imps.
