Level 1

Start your coaching journey with our England Netball Level 1 course, providing you as a learner with an introduction to coaching the game and working with players, from under 7 to open age. Following the completion of the course, you will be able to assist more qualified coaches in delivering aspects of coaching sessions.


Who is this course for?


Perfect for those who are at least 16 years of age, who wish to start coaching netball. You will need to have an understanding of the rules and a sound knowledge and experience of the game.


Outcomes


By successfully completing the Level 1 coaching qualification, you’ll be able to:

  • Assist more qualified coaches in delivering aspects of coaching sessions (normally under direct supervision)
  • Learn more about the basics of the game

Minimum Age: 16


Duration:

3 virtual sessions – one of 3 hours and two of 2 1/2 hours

Level 2

Progress your coaching journey with our England Netball Level 2 course, equipping you to fulfill the level 2 coach role duties of preparing for, delivering and reviewing coaching sessions.


Who is this course for?


Perfect for those who have been an active coach in netball for a minimum of 2 years or have a Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Netball.


Outcomes


By successfully completing the Level 2 coaching qualification, you’ll be able to:

  • Plan a series of coaching sessions.
  • Prepare the coaching environment for the delivery of coaching sessions.
  • Deliver a series of coaching sessions to develop the participant’s performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate coaching sessions and personal practice.

Details


Minimum Age: 18


Duration: The course consists of 3 virtual sessions of 2.5, 2.5 and 2 hours spread over 3 different dates. There are 2 days of face to face delivery and 1 virtual professional discussion on a different date, lasting for an hour.

CPD Workshops

England Netball has developed a series of workshops aimed at providing club coaches / teachers who are regularly planning sessions with a better understanding of a specific area of player and game development, the toolkit required to analyse and correct technique and fresh ideas for building practices and sessions.

Walking Netball Host

The aim of this six-hour workshop is to provide people with the skills they need to be able to host a Walking Netball session. The workshop includes a mix of both theory and practical sessions.


Who is this course for?


The workshop is aimed at new or aspiring Walking Netball Hosts. Attendees do not need any previous qualifications to complete this training. They must have a desire to work with this audience.


Outcomes


  • Understand the game and ethos of Walking Netball
  • Be clear on the role of a Walking Netball Host
  • Know how to create a great first experience
  • Provide ideas for fun and relevant practices that can be used in a Walking Netball session.
  • Ensure that the host can deliver safe, fun and inclusive sessions

Bee Leader Workshop

Bee Netball is the perfect way to introduce children to netball in a fun, nurturing and child-centred environment. Not only do they learn the basic skills needed for netball, they also learn beyond the court through our Beeliefs.


What is the Bee Leader course?


A 6-hour face-to-face course aimed to give you the confidence to deliver Bee Netball, so the course is fully practical – you can learn from and with other volunteers guided by one of our expert tutors. You will be equipped with the necessary skills to deliver Bee Netball, as well as understand the curriculum and how to support children.


Who is the course for?


Anyone over 18, regardless of coaching experience, who wants to understand how to deliver the Bee Netball in the best way possible for children.


Outcomes


  • To understand the values and ethos of Bee Netball and be able to bring them to life in a session
  • To provide ideas for fun, engaging games and activities
  • To ensure your sessions are fun, safe and inclusive
