On Saturday 17th September, the National Goalden Globes event took place at Chateau Impney Hotel & Exhibition Centre, Droitwich Spa. The evening was based around ‘The Birthday Party’ theme and was very well attended. Our regional winners Sam Griffin, Taylor Thow, Sue Collin, Claire Ludden-Vincent; Hazel McConnell and Bramcote Netball Club waited in anticipation for the national results. The first award of the evening was the National Long Service Award, given to those who have dedicated themselves to improving the sport across the country. East Midlands had one winner in this category which was awarded to Vanessa McErlain-Naylor who is Lincolnshire’s County Chair, as very well deserved winner, congratulations. Our Congratulations are also extended to Sue Collin, our Regional Chair who was awarded a well deserved Honorary Life Membership Award. Sue is an inspiration to us all and always goes over and beyond her volunteering duties - see link below when the moment was captured out Lincolnshire’s Netball Development Office, Louise Key who was also in attendance. https://www.facebook.com/louise.key.547/videos/10154014262743990/ The National Young Volunteer Award went to Nottinghamshire’s Taylor Thow, a massive congratulations to a very hard working committed young lady – (Taylors words are below and stolen from her social media timeline).
