Congratulations to Gill White who has retired from netball after a long and happy time in the sport. Gill started playing in Rushden in 1977. Along with a group of ladies, she helped set up a local league and has since been a player; umpire and scorer and member of the Wellingborough League Committee.
Flowers, wine and a grand certificate (hand made by team member) were presented to Gill as her netball career was celebrated!
Two Counties Netball are running various leagues for the 2015/16 season starting w/c 20th September including:
This season, the Nottinghamshire Junior League is being reinvigorated with a new name, new facilities and open to new teams of a high standard.
The league is open to Nottinghamshire Clubs U11, U12, U13, U14, and U15 who follow England Netball Pathways and Netball First Philosophy. Clubs outside of Nottinghamshire with the same ethos will also be invited to participate.
This is a brand new league and we want you to be part of this exciting venture. Accepting the wider picture of netball competition and its benefits.
So if you fall under the categories above, what do you need to do next?
First apply to enter the premier junior league - you can do this by downloading an official invite, Competition information and an entry form! Please then return the entry form with the appropriate fee (which we have kept to a bare minimum).
Following that we hope you support the ethos of the premier junior league.
Then - all that is left to do is come prepared to play high intensity and highly competitive matches!
We will do the rest! We hope you will take up this challenge!
