Due to the growing success of the Friars JMs club this year we were able to enter two teams, one in the under 16 competition and one in the over 16 competition. On the way to the competition there were lots of mixed feelings of nerves and excitement but as soon as the matches started their nerves went away and their confidence grew. Throughout the competition the girls played with determination, passion and team spirit fighting to win but also enjoying the experience. The players were very lucky to meet England Netballer Sasha Corbin at the event who ran a coaching session for them in between games, signed autographs and posed for photos with them. Our over 16 team had a number of very challenging matches and they finished in 3rd place overall and our under 16 team successfully managed to retain their title and finished 1st making them national champions for the 3rd time!! A big well done to Alisha Noble and Rachel Durman who were chosen as outstanding players throughout the tournament and won the England Netball Star Award. They were both presented with a signed Sasha Corbin netball! All players should feel incredibly proud of their achievements and how much progress they have made during this season.
