The Derbyshire High 5 County Finals were held recently at Swanwick School, Derbyshire. It was a really good day with 10 teams taking part and the weather was fantastic. A big thank you to the young umpires who came out from school and supported Derbyshire Netball including Emily Beckett, Cherese Naylor, Freya Wood, Millie Hickling and Katherine Wragg.

England Netball has made some changes to the Age Banding process following a review of the previous system. The new process is detailed in the Age Banding Guidance document, but to summarise England Netball will no longer be providing Age Banding approval via letters to confirm eligibility. Instead the participant’s coach, parent(s) or guardian and the Club or School Safeguarding Officer must complete the Age Banding Form and sign having read the Age Banding Guidance provided to confirm that the player in question is suitable to play out of their age band. This form should be submitted to the competition organiser alongside any entry or registration forms and the player should then be considered eligible.
Please note that forms should only be submitted to England Netball when EN is the competition organiser (eg Premier League, National School Finals only, National U14 and U16 Club Finals). For all other competitions the Age Banding Form must be sent to the competition organiser. England Netball recommends that competition organisers adopt this process in their competition regulations, however this is not mandatory and where competition regulations state a different process, this will take precedence for that competition.
