CAPS Information
What is CAPS?
England Netball's Club Accreditation is called CAPS (Clubs Action Planning Scheme). In line with the Clubmark award, CAPS is a club development tool, which focuses on four key areas that impact on Netball clubs:
Duty of Care and Child Protection
Coaching and Competition
Club Management/ Administration
Sports Equity and Ethics
CAPS offers Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of achievement, highlighting further development work whilst ensuring that all clubs have the chance to shine.
The scheme is linked to the development of players, coaches and umpires at all levels of the sport. It highlights and builds on existing development work within clubs, recognising and rewarding good practice, whilst identifying areas for development and improvement.
Clubs work towards a set of criteria, collecting and documenting evidence to support their submission. The whole process will act as a club development tool.
